Abel Ernesto Lopez, a life-long Cuban Episcopalian. Abel studied theology at the Seminario Evangélico de Teología, Matanzas, Cuba and graduated from the Episcopal Theological Seminary of the Southwest in Austin, Texas in 2000. Abel joined All Saints staff in April 15, 2001.

He is a member of the National Program Group for Latino/Hispanic Ministries of the Episcopal Church and serves on the Board of Directors of Equality California. An outspoken supporter of marriage equality, he was frequent interviewee in the local Spanish language media during the 2008 Proposition 8 campaign.

Abel is married to May Ling Lopez and they have a son named Sebastian.
