Women's Community

Women's Community facilitates spiritual growth, education, community building, and service opportunities for the women of All Saints Church. All women who attend All Saints Church are members of Women's Community. Women's Community creates a nurturing environment and gives voice to issues of critical importance. The Women's Community Steering Committee provides leadership in coordinating the activities of the Women's Community, and meets the second Wednesday of each month at 6:30 to 8:30 in the OCC Conference room.

Women's Community Events during the year include:

Coming Soon:

Annual Women's Spiritual Retreat led by Betsy Perry

Saturday, May 19, 2012 - 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 pm
Angeles Mountain Center
3697 Fair Oaks Avenue, Altadena.

For centuries the Black Madonna has attracted millions of people from all over the world, and many have had miracles and life-changing encounters. Historian and All Saints member, Betsy Perry, will present images of the Black Madonna and speak about their historical and spiritual context. Through meditation, art, and story she will invite us to explore our own responses to the dark feminine within ourselves, the gifts we find in darkness, the hopes we have for wholeness. We will discuss questions in small groups, meditate, write or draw in journals, make mandalas, create Stations of the Black Madonnas, and take time for walking meditations outdoors.

A light breakfast and lunch will be served.  $15.00 suggested donation will be collected at the door.  (Scholarships are available)  Please register for this event by May 14 at the Women's Community Table on the lawn where More information is available.    For more information, or to sign up by phone, call Jeannette Miyamoto at 626-354-2884, or write her at jeannettemiyamoto@hotmail.com
