Alternative Christmas Market

This COLORFUL "fair" is held annually on the first Sunday in December, provides opportunities to purchase gifts (or make donations in lieu thereof) that benefit the poor and homeless on a local, national and international basis. Volunteers are needed to help with planning and publicity, as well as to serve as cashiers, gift card table helpers and calligraphers.
The 2011 Alternative Christmas Market Will be Held in Sweetland Hall, Sunday, Dec. 4
Instead of buying “things” for folks, your dollars will be going to help kids visit their parents who are in jail; to help gang members get back on track; to help homeless and abused women; to help kids in foster care; and the list goes on. For a sneak peek at what’ll be offered this year, see the Alternative Christmas Market Catalog. And the shopping list in English and en Español. Volunteers are still needed to serve in a number of capacities. Please contact Sharyn Delahousie Lewis at 626.375.7606.
