Parish Council is dedicated to enhancing the caring mission at All Saints. The Council plans and coordinates events during the church year that enable parish members to come together in God's name as a community dedicated to a journey of spiritual growth. Parish Council also responds to the individual needs of parishioners by staffing the Parish Council table on the lawn on Sundays and by supporting caring ministries that respond to the needs of the parish members. Applications for membership are welcome at any time. The events Parish Council is responsible for include the following:
ADVENT POTLUCK Join the celebration of the first Sunday of Advent with a community potluck dinner. There are special activities for children, including candlemaking for Advent observance at home. The evening begins with a worship service.
HANGING OF THE GREENS The beautiful appearance of the church at Christmas is the result of the joyful work of many volunteers who create the decorations.
HOMECOMING The third Sunday in September is a grand celebration that launches the church year. Teams of volunteers are needed to help create the festive atmosphere.
PARISH RETREAT Each June, parish members escape the city for the tranquility of La Casa de Maria in Montecito for an annual retreat. This is a wonderful, relaxing and spiritually recharging event, featuring a guest speaker.
SHROVE TUESDAY PANCAKE SUPPER Fun, food and games are the order of the day in a celebration just before the start of the Lenten season.
